Lucan Almeida was a winner of the 2006 Young Creators Award in comics. He is the creator and publisher of The Habit Makes the Monster zine, published annually, since 2000. He interned at Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, in New York, in 2009. He founded his own screen printing workshop in Portugal.
