Nama, George
Born 1939. George Nama is an American painter, sculptor, and draftsman. He was trained as a master printer at Atelier 17 in Paris. Nama has collaborated with a number of major American and European poets, — such as Bonnefoy, Brendel, and Simic—, producing drawings, gouaches, etchings, and sculptures that illuminate their writings. His works are in the collections of the Morgan Library, LACMA, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others. Kathy started collaborating with George as his master printer in 1997.
