Kumar, Vijay

Born in India, based in New York. Vijay Kumar is an artist and printmaker. He had numerous solo exhibitions in the United States and abroad. Vijay is the curator for the Indo-American Arts Council's annual Erasing Borders Exhibition of Contemporary Indian Art of the Diaspora. He has also curated print shows in New York and Ohio in the United States, and in India. Mr. Kumar teaches printmaking at Manhattan Graphics Center, in New York. His works are in the collections of The New York Public Library, The Museum of Modern Art, the New-York Historical Society, and the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Library of Congress in Washington, DC; the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England; and the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi.
