Katherine Bowling is a New York-based painter best known for her serene and mysterious landscapes, inspired by the area surrounding her home in the Hudson Valley. Bowling has been a well-respected painter and printmaker since the 1980s. She has been awarded numerous accolades, including a National Endowment for the Arts Grant, New York State Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and a Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation Fellowship. Bowling is represented by the DC Moore Gallery in Washington DC. Her work can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Brooklyn Museum of Art, NY; Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, Evanston, IL; Phoenix Art Museum, AZ; and the Fisher Landau Center, NY, among others.
